Zom-B-Gone

This game was created for my Capstone project at the end of my second year at Neumont. The Capstone Project is a solo project meant to showcase what we've learned so far, as well as expand our horizons into new tech we haven't learned yet. My project was selected to present at Capstone Invitational, an event where one project gets selected per degree, and presents to a larger audience with a panel of judges. I represented the whole Software and Game Degree with my project. In this game you play as a lootrunner that scavenges abandoned cities infested with zombies for new loot. This is a fast paced extraction shooter where you want to get in and out before you meet your end to the zombies and lose your equipment.

This was built in 48 hours by me and two others for Neumont's 2024 Spring game jam. We were awarded 3rd place for this project. It was regarded as one of the most polished projects that resulted from the jam. In this game you control a rat with they keyboard and a mouse with the mouse! It is a split-brain game where you have to manage moving through mazes with the rat as you fling the mouse around traps by pulling and snapping it's tail back.

In this 2D platformer game you play as a girl with telekinesis, who uses a large sword to slash around the map as well as using the sword as a platform to reach higher places. She is in a 5 minute time loop where she has to race to defeat the wizard keeping her in the loop.

Broken Steel

I taught myself Unity 3D as I built out this intricate first person character controller that allows the player to move fluidly using a two grapple system, replicating the Omnidirectional Maneuver gear seen in the Manga and Anime 'Attack on Titan.' Despite being very early in development, after a month of marketing I was able to accrue over 7,000 downloads and 735,000 views.

Spectres & Spirits

A game built in 2 weeks for Going Indie's jam. A few friends and I worked on this when we weren't in college classes. Most of the game was built by me and two others, and we had a few other friends contribute things like the bullet pattern system, art, and music. The Going Indie judges awarded this game 1st place in the jam. The theme for this jam was "Death is your friend" so when you die you turn into a spirit that can possess any of the enemies and play as them.
